Executive Director of Carolina Film Network, Andrew Gajadhar, has received his accreditation from The Producers Guild of America whose mission is to represent, protect, and promote the interest of all members of the producing team.
Gajadhar received this accreditation for his work on science fiction thriller Alienography, which is filmed primarily in South Carolina. Since the film retreated into post-production status, the team has released several multimedia packages related to the film; including a documentary short Greetings from the UFO Welcome Center and a photography series dedicated to the late Ronald McNair.
When asked about receiving the accreditation from The Producer Guild of America, Gajadhar stated, “For me and my company, it denotes professionalism. It allows us to be taken seriously in the industry. As a newer production company, it guarantees the quality of our work. What it means for the film community of SC is exposure and opportunity. It’s a way to let other industry professionals know that they can invest in us confidently. Hopefully, people will want to base more large productions here and not just use our scenery in passing. We are determined to boost our economy here with opportunities like this. Its our time.” Gajadhar is the first producer to receive this accreditation in South Carolina.
